Staff Verification Exercise: Egbeda Chairman Receives LGSC Chairman Wolekanle, Board Member in LG

The Executive Chairman of Egbeda local government, Hon Sanda Sikiru Oyedele received the chairman of Oyo State Local Government Service Commission(LGSC), Bashorun Akinwale Solomon Akinwole and his Board Members at Egbeda local government for the on-going staff verification exercise for the 33 local governments across Oyo State.

The chairman LGSC reiterated that the on-going staff verification exercise across the local government in the state was never to witch-hunt any staff but to ensure adequate provision for staff welfare.

Bashorun Wolekanle made the declaration at the staff verification exercise for staff of Egbeda local government, held at the council main secretariat, Ibadan.

LGSC chairman on behalf of his Board Members maintained that their visit to all 33 local governments in the state for the verification exercise was to ensure discipline, assess compliance to service rules, evaluate the working atmosphere, update the staff documents, and to authenticate the number of staff on the payroll as some of the staff has just been promoted to another grade level.

While giving his own remarks, the chairman of Egbeda local government, Hon Sanda Sikiru Oyedele appreciated the chairman LGSC for the outstanding performance on the new innovation as this has never happened in the history of LGSC.

Hon Sanda also affirmed that the present administration under the leadership of His Excellency, Engr Seyi Makinde FNSE is working assiduously to provide a conductive working atmosphere for all the civil servants in the state, hence the need for all staff to reciprocate the gestures by being steadfast in their schedules of duties and abide by the rules and regulations guiding their chosen careers.

The council boss stressed that, he was privileged to attend the payment of gratuity to retired local government staff and public primary school teachers at the Local Government Service Pensions Board(LGSPB), that the era of no payment of gratuity to retirees is gone in Oyo State.

Hon Sanda wished the chairman LGSC and his Board Members journey mercy back to their various destinations.

After the words of admonition from the chairman, the screening exercise was conducted for all the staff of Egbeda LG and Ajorosun LCDA simultaneously.
