Ibadan South West Local Government Chairman, Honourable Kehinde Akande, has met with the Oyo State Vigilante Group of Nigeria (VGN), local government chapter, to discuss enhanced security measures for the communities within the local government. The meeting aimed to strengthen collaboration between the local government and the vigilante group to ensure a safe and peaceful co-existence.

During the meeting, Honourable Akande emphasized the importance of vigilance and community policing in preventing crimes and maintaining law and order. As the chairman of Ibadan South West Local Government, Honourable Akande has been committed to people-oriented projects and enhancing the well-being of residents.

The Vigilante Group of Nigeria, a community-based security association, has been working closely with other security agencies to protect lives and property. Their efforts have been instrumental in curbing insecurity in various parts of the local government.

The meeting between Honourable Akande and the VGN highlights the importance of collaboration between government agencies and community-based security groups in maintaining peace and security. By working together, they can ensure a safe and enjoyable festive season for residents.
