Rt. Hon. Adedeji Adebowale Jide Donates N500,000 to PDP Ward 7, Ido LGA ……….Reaffirms Commitment to Party Growth and Community Development

The Executive Speaker of the Ido Local Government Legislative Council, Rt. Hon. Adedeji Adebowale Jide, has once again demonstrated his unwavering commitment to the advancement of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and the broader Ido community. During the Ward 7 weekly party meeting held on Sunday, April 27, 2025, Hon. Adedeji donated a substantial sum of N500,000 to support the activities and initiatives of the ward.

The Speaker, who was warmly received by enthusiastic party members with songs and cheers, was celebrated for his consistent spirit of generosity and his dedication to the growth of both the party and the community at large. His arrival at the meeting injected a wave of excitement, as members expressed their appreciation for his numerous contributions over the years.

In his goodwill message, Elder Adejobi Michael, one of the prominent leaders of the ward, offered heartfelt prayers for Hon. Adedeji. He lauded the Speaker’s steadfast support, noting that this was not his first act of benevolence, and that his numerous interventions have significantly contributed to strengthening the party’s structure and enhancing the welfare of its members. Elder Adejobi praised Hon. Adedeji’s selfless service as an example of true leadership and commitment to humanity.

Similarly, Alhaji Fatai Adelakun, Chairman of PDP Ward 7, extended his appreciation to the Speaker, commending him for continually fostering unity, love, and cooperation among members. He emphasized that Hon. Adedeji’s leadership style has been instrumental in maintaining peace and cohesion within the ward. Mrs. Adeola Zainab, leader of the Widows’ Group in Ward 7, also prayed and expressed gratitude on behalf of her group and the larger community, describing Hon. Adedeji as a beacon of hope and a pillar of support to the vulnerable.

In his speech, Hon. Adedeji Adebowale Jide emphasized that “the strength of any great party lies in the love, unity, and resilience of its members.”

He noted that he remains deeply honored to stand with the dedicated people of Ward 7, who continue to uphold the values of progress and service. According to him, the donation was a token of his unwavering commitment to the growth of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and the development of Ido Local Government.

Highlighting the party’s growing strength, the meeting also witnessed the official welcoming of new members who had defected from other political parties to the PDP. In their welcome address, the party executives assured the new members of a warm and inclusive environment, reaffirming the Oyo State PDP’s position as a party that embraces unity, progress, and collective growth.

Present at the meeting were key PDP Ward 7 executives, including the Chairman, Alhaji Fatai Adelakun; the Vice Chairman, Mrs. Risquat Ojo; the Secretary, Mr. Olowoyoro Iskil; alongside other executives and a large assembly of party faithful, all of whom pledged their continuous loyalty and support for the PDP and its leaders.
