The Lawmaker representing Ibadan North East/South East federal constituency in the House of Representatives, Rep. Abass Adigun (Agboworin), has lauded the Chairman of the Oyo State Agency for Youth Development, Hon. Adebowale Adebayo Falana, on his achievements on youth empowerment in the state.
He gave the commendation this during the 1st year anniversary of the Agency under the chairmanship of Prince Adebowale Adebayo Falana, saying that the Chairman has done extremely well in terms of training and empowering the youths in the state.
Agboworin, who is a two-term lawmaker and Chairman of the House Committee on Narcotic Drugs, commended Falana for providing opportunities for young people of this state to develop their skills, build their confidence, and become active contributors to our society.
While saying that there are challenges that lie ahead, the lawmaker noted that there are still much work to be done to ensure every young person has access to the resources and support they need to thrive.
He said: “I would like to commend the agency’s leadership under the watch of my very good brother, Prince Falana Adebowale and staff for their tireless efforts in driving this Agency forward.
“Your dedication to empowering our youth is truly commendable, and we look forward to seeing the impact of your work consistently.
“From training programmes to mentorship initiatives, the agency has worked tirelessly to ensure our youth are equipped with the tools they need to succeed.
“It is commendable that this Agency has trained thousands of youths and employed about 85 thereby reducing rate of youth unemployment in the state.
He, however, urged the youths to take advantage of the opportunities provided by the agency for their personal development and upliftment.
