The Oyo State House of Assembly has called on Christians to remember the sacrifice made by Jesus Christ and emulate His unconditional love for humanity as they join their counterparts across the Globe to commemorate this year Easter celebration.

This was contained in a congratulatory Easter message signed by the Chairman, House Committee on Information, Media, ICT, and Public Affairs , Hon. Waheed Akintayo to felicitate Christians in the Pace Setter State.

Hon. Akintayo stated that Easter is a period for sober reflection and the time to remember the sacrifices made by Jesus Christ , hence the need to always show love to everyone around us and to our dear State inorder to pave ways for rapid development that will attract foreign investors for the benefits of entire citizenry.

“Easter is usually a period of solemn celebration and reflection. The perseverance of Jesus Christ , His tolerance, and other lessons learnt during the forty days of lent should be the watchwords for everyone in relating with one another and commitment to the service of the state. ”

He called on members of the public, and indeed, the Christians to renew their faith in God through Jesus Christ so that His death and resurrection would not be in vain.

“It is the season of rebirth, hence people must renew their faith and imbibe the teaching of the risen Saviour.”

Hon. Akintayo noted that it is important to continue praying for the led Administration of Engr. Seyi Makinde and the leadership of Oyo State House of Assembly in order to sustain the well established peaceful atmosphere that everyone enjoys in the State

” Easter period is the most important season for Christians across the world.

To this end, the Oyo State House of Assembly is wishing everyone a blessed 2025 Easter celebration.” The message concluded
