Hon. Saminu Riliwan Gbadamosi JP, popularly known as Wale Canada, who represents Atisbo/Saki-East State Constituency at the Oyo State House of Assembly and serves as the Chairman of the House Committee on Health, has extended warm greetings to the Muslim Ummah across his constituency, Oke-Ogun, Oyo State, Nigeria, and the entire world as they commence the holy month of Ramadan.

In a statement made available to the press through his aide, Mr. Jimoh O. Oladoja, Hon. Wale Canada emphasized the significance of Ramadan as a period of spiritual reflection, self-discipline, and increased devotion to Almighty Allah. He urged Muslims to use this sacred month to seek divine blessings, promote peace, and extend kindness to one another, especially to the less privileged.

“On this blessed month, I encourage all Muslims to uphold the values of patience, generosity, and unity, which are at the core of Ramadan. It is a time for renewed faith, deeper compassion, and unwavering commitment to doing good. May this Ramadan bring abundant blessings, good health, and prosperity to all,” the statement read.

Hon. Wale Canada also reaffirmed his commitment to supporting initiatives that will enhance the well-being of his constituents, especially in the area of healthcare, and prayed for continued peace and progress in Oyo State and Nigeria as a whole.

Hon. Wale Canada, who was recently turbaned as “Turaki Adini” by Sheik Faruq Onikijipa, reminds Muslims that Ramadan, the ninth month of the Islamic calendar, is not only a time of fasting but also one of the five major pillars of Islam, as commanded by Almighty Allah in the Qur’an. It is a month filled with divine mercy, forgiveness, and countless rewards for those who engage in sincere worship.

As we embark on this sacred journey of fasting, prayers, and charity, I pray that Allah accepts all our acts of worship, grants us good health, and showers His blessings upon us all.

I wish all Muslims a peaceful and spiritually rewarding Ramadan.
