…As Makinde urges awardees to sustain excellence as OYRTMA chairman pledges continued professionalism
The Oyo State Civil Service has honoured the Oyo State Road Traffic Management Authority (OYRTMA) as an outstanding government agency for its efficiency and effectiveness in road traffic management across the state.

The recognition was presented during the 2025 Public Service Week and Merit Award ceremony held at the House of Chiefs, Agodi Secretariat, Ibadan.
Governor Seyi Makinde, while addressing the awardees, praised OYRTMA’s performance and urged the agency not to relent in its commitment to excellence.

He encouraged other civil and public servants to emulate the agency’s dedication and strive for recognition in future editions.


The Governor reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to prioritizing the welfare and well-being of public and civil servants.
He commended the workforce for their continuous dedication and urged them to keep working collectively in the interest of the state.
Speaking after receiving the award, the Chairman of OYRTMA, Major Adesagba Adekoya (rtd), thanked Governor Makinde for his steadfast support and motivation, which he said has strengthened the agency’s operations.

He assured that OYRTMA would continue to uphold professionalism and work diligently to ensure safety and orderliness on Oyo State roads.
Among the individual award recipients were the Head of Operations, Commander Adelakun Bolaji, recognized for his outstanding contributions.
The OYRTMA football team also emerged winners of the Civil Service Men’s Football Competition, adding another feather to the agency’s cap.
The honour further cements OYRTMA’s role as a key contributor to effective traffic management and public service excellence in Oyo State.
