The wife of Ooni of Ife, Oba Enitan Adeyeye Ogunwusi Ojaja II, Olori Afolasade Ashley Ogunwusi has commended the Oyo State Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde for his various developmental projects he has been implementing in the State since he came on board.

Olori Ashley Ogunwusi gave the commendation during her courtesy visit to the Chairman of Local Government Staff Pension Board, Hon. Akeem Ademola Ige in his office at Local Government House, Secretariat, Ibadan today.
Queen Ogunwusi stressed that Governor Makinde has given the state especially the capital city a new face lift to the admiration of both indigenes, non-indigenes and the visitors to the state.

She equally lauded Governor Makinde for constructing the Local Government House that serves as secretariat offices for the Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters, Local Government Service Commission and Local Government Staff Pension Board respectively among other Infrastructural development he has executed coupled with the implementation of several welfare packages for workers and retirees alike.

Queen Ashley who pointed out that she was in Ibadan to deliver the good tidings from the Ooni of Ife to the people and government of Oyo State and congratulated them for the appointment of the new Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Akeem Owoade, prayed fervently for continued development, progress and successful tenure for Engr. Seyi Makinde, the Chairman of the pension board, Hon. Ige and all the staff that are working with him.

While welcoming the Queen and her entourage to the state secretariat, Hon. Akeem Ademola Ige who is the Baameto Aare Ona Kakanfo of Yorubaland appreciated her for her decision to visit his office and for eulogizing Governor Seyi Makinde’s unprecedented achievements in the state.
Ige described the Queen as a very good friend of his sister, Chief Mrs Aminat Bolupe Aramide, the Aare Ago Iyalode of Ibadan land who presently resides in the United Kingdom, expressed his happiness with the various steps being taken by her for the emancipation of Nigerian women both at home and in the Diaspora.
Also speaking, the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters, Hon. Mrs Ramota Agberemi Dabo stated that Olori Ogunwusi’s visit showed that she holds Oyo state people dearly in her heart.
Hon. Ramota who described Queen Folasade as a humble and highly respected personality, commended her for being the voice of the women folk.
The Permanent Secretary of the Board, Alhaji Muraina Akinola, all the directors and other staff members of the board also joined Hon. Akeem Ige to receive Queen Folasade in his office.
