The League of Imams and Alfas in conjunction with the Muslim community in Ibadan NorthWest Local Government of Oyo State, on September 6 hosted a turbaning and award ceremony to honour distinguished personalities contributing to the growth and development of Islam.

At the event, Oloye Adegboyega Taofeek Adegoke FCA, Aare Egbe Omo Balogun of Ibadanland, represented Oba Tajudeen Ajibola, Balogun Olubadan of Ibadanland, in the capacity of the Olubadan of Ibadanland, His Royal Majesty Oba Rasheed Adewolu Ladoja, who served as the Royal Father of the Day.
Oloye Adegoke was also a special guest of Hon. (Dr.) Dawood Olalere D-Al-Ameen, the Member representing Ibadan NorthWest State Constituency at the Oyo State House of Assembly and the Aare Musulumi of Ekotedoland.

Delivering the Olubadan’s royal greetings in his address, Oloye Adegoke commended the League of Alfas and Imams for their steadfast commitment to Islam and community development. He emphasized the importance of unity, tolerance, and spiritual growth within the Muslim community.


In further demonstration of support, Oloye Adegoke generously donated the sum of ₦1,000,000 (One Million Naira) to the Muslim community, a gesture that was warmly received and applauded by the congregation.
The event was marked by prayers, cultural displays, and goodwill messages, reinforcing the role of religious and traditional institutions in promoting peace, development, and faith-based leadership in Ibadanland.
