The management of Oyo State College of Nursing Sciences,Eleyele,Ibadan led by the Provost of the college Dr. Gbonjubola Owolabi paid a courtesy visit on the management of the Oyo State Hospitals’ Management Board under the leadership of Dr. Akin Fagbemi to strengthen existing relationship between the college and the board.
In his opening remarks,the chairman of the Oyo State Hospitals’ Management Board Dr.Akin Fagbemi commended the State College of Nursing Sciences for the great job the college has been doing in producing quality health workers for the state.
He described their performance as top notch during the just concluded recruitment exercise by the board into various cadre as approved by his excelllency Engr. Oluseyi Makinde FNSE to improve and provide quality and better healthcare services to the people of the state.
Dr. Fagbemi therefore encouraged the college to continue producing trained nurses that will be useful to the state and Nigeria as a whole.
The Provost of the College,Dr. Gbonjubola Owolabi appreciated the entire management of the board for their job well done in taking the health sector in the state to another level.
She described Nursing as a noble profession that deals with life and the practical aspect of it must not be toiled with.
Dr. Gbonjubola said both the OYSHMB and the State College of Nursing Sciences have a common goal in the areas of producing quality and better hands for all the health facilities within the state and beyond.
She therefore promised that the management of College of Nursing will always be on the same page with the State Hospitals’ Management Board as one big family.
Present during the visit were the chairman of the board,Dr. Akin Fagbemi,the Permanent Secretary Dr. Anifat Ibraheem and some directors at the board while the management of the College of Nursing was led by the Provost Dr. Gbonjubola Owolabi,the Deputy Provost Mrs. Adeleke Iyabode,the School Registrar Mr. Adewale Raji,the Director of Works Engr. Akinbowale Olawoyin,the Head of Department of Public Health Mrs. Babajide Elizabeth and the College Bursar Mrs. Adewusi Grace.
