… As Dr. Fagbemi meets 8 new permanent secretaries on healthcare development
The chairman of Oyo State Hospitals’ Management Board, Dr. Akin Fagbemi, has held a strategic meeting with newly appointed Permanent Secretaries by Oyo State Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde.
The meeting aimed to increase and improve the healthcare sector in the state under the sustainable healthcare delivery of Omi-Tuntun 2.0.
The meeting took place at the Conference Room of the Ministry of Health, Secretariat, Ibadan.
In attendance were the 8 newly appointed Permanent Secretaries, who were sworn in by His Excellency Engr. Oluseyi Makinde.
Dr. Fagbemi commended Governor Makinde’s visionary leadership for creating an enabling environment for civil servants.
He praised the governor’s decision to appoint 8 new Permanent Secretaries for the health family, who will oversee the affairs of various health facilities within their zones.
The chairman appealed to the new Permanent Secretaries to bring both formal and informal ideas that will benefit the board.
He emphasized that the board’s doors are open for further consultation and encouraged them to come up with innovative ideas that will move the state healthcare family forward.
Dr. Fagbemi advised the new Permanent Secretaries to make their presence felt in the state healthcare sector.
He quoted, “Where your absence is not felt, your presence is not needed.”
In her remark, The Permanent Secretary Oyo State Hospital Management Board, Dr. Anifat Ibraheem, highlighted the administrative and operational roles of the new Permanent Secretaries.
She provided guidance on their responsibilities and expectations.
Speaking on behalf of the newly appointed Permanent Secretaries, Dr. Lanre Abass thanked Governor Makinde and the Head of Service (HOS) Chief Mrs. Olubunmi Oni for creating opportunities for their growth.
He assured that their appointment will complement the governor’s efforts in sustainable healthcare delivery in Oyo State.
The Director of Finance and Accounts (DFA) congratulated the newly appointed Permanent Secretaries and advised them to work hard in achieving better healthcare indices in the state.
The meeting demonstrated the commitment of the Oyo State Government to improving the healthcare sector.
With the new Permanent Secretaries on board, the state is poised to make significant strides in healthcare delivery.
