The Women Mobilisation Directorate of the Allied Peoples’ Movement (APM) in Oyo State on Monday demonstrated its strength and readiness for the 2027 presidential election as women from across the 33 local government areas of the state stormed Abuja for the commissioning of the party’s campaign office.
The mobilisation was led by Hon. Ramata Agberemi Dabo, Director of Women Mobilization, Makinde/Adekanmbi Campaign Council and member of the APM Apex Campaign Council in Oyo State. Dabo, alongside members of the Directorate of Women Mobilization, led a strong contingent of women to Abuja, where they added colour, energy and visibility to the commissioning ceremony.
The APM campaign office was commissioned on Monday, September 7, 2026, by the Executive Governor of Oyo State and Vice Chairman of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum, His Excellency, Seyi Makinde, FNSE, who is the presidential candidate of the Allied Peoples’ Movement for the 2027 election.
The impressive turnout of Oyo women was described as a demonstration of their commitment to Makinde’s presidential ambition and their determination to mobilise support for the APM across communities and constituencies. The mobilisation also highlighted the strategic role of women in the party’s grassroots campaign structure ahead of the 2027 general election.

The presidential bid, tagged “RESET NIGERIA,” is being projected by the APM as a platform for a new direction in national leadership. With its women mobilisation structure spread across the 33 local government areas of Oyo State, Dabo and her team reaffirmed the readiness of Oyo women to play a decisive role in the campaign and mobilise support for Governor Seyi Makinde in his bid to become President of Nigeria in 2027.
