The Oyo State chapter of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has directed all newly elected Ward and Local Government Executives across the state to commence full party activities with immediate effect.

In a statement signed by the State Publicity Secretary, Micheal Ogunsina, the party instructed that all Ward and Local Government Executives should begin active engagement with party members and stakeholders at their respective levels.

The statement further mandated that all Local Government Party Chairmen must convene the first official local government meeting of the party before the end of October 2025, as part of the process of reactivating and strengthening the party’s grassroots structure.

It is also pertinent to note that the Senatorial Chairmen of the Party across the three Senatorial districts are to monitor thorough compliance of this directive

According to the statement, the directive aims to ensure smooth coordination, effective mobilization, and enhanced communication between the party’s leadership and members at all levels.

> “We expect all newly elected officers to take up their responsibilities immediately and begin the task of strengthening the party structure across the state,” the statement reads.

> “Every political office holder must align with the new executives to consolidate the achievements of our great party and ensure continued dominance across the state,” the statement concluded.
