Oyo Library Board Chair, Hon. Yemi Taiwo, Extols Agboworin, Says ‘He Knows How To Put Smile On People’s Face’

The immediate former House of Representatives member, who represented the good people of Ibadapa Central/Ido federal constituency and current chairman of the Oyo State Library Board, Hon. Yemi Taiwo, has stated that the lawmaker representing Ibadan South East/North East federal constituency, Rep. Abass Adigun (Agboworin), deserves to be in higher position.

He noted that if the two-term lawmaker, who is currently the Chairman, House Committee on Narcotic Drugs, is given a higher and better position to serve, he would use the office to deliver more dividends of democracy to the people of his constituency, and even Oyo state at large.

He stated these recently while reacting to the gesture, which the lawmaker extended to the Oyo State Library Board, in terms of donation of solar lights to enhance security within the premises.

He appreciated the lawmaker’s benevolence and service delivery, saying that the solar lights would go a long way in improving the safety and security of library users and researchers who frequent the facility in the evenings.

The Chairman described Agboworin, who was his colleague in the 9th Assembly, as a personality who knows how to keep the oil of friendship going, adding that the lawmaker’s donation to a Board outside his constituency is commendable.

He said: “I thank God for the life of Rep. Abass Adigun Agboworin. He was my colleague in the 9th Assembly and still deemed fit to keep oiling the bond of our friendship.

“Where this Board is situated is not even part of his constituency but, because of the relationship we have built over the years, he just thought it wise to extend the project here. And that was what brought about this development.

“You see, politics transcends so many things and this is to show that if Agboworin is given higher opportunity, he knows how to use office to put smile on the faces of his constituency, most especially the people of Oyo State.

“This tenure is gradually winding up and we know that, as politicians, we start from somewhere. And I have been praying to God that we need his type in higher positions so that the people will be able to enjoy more dividends of democracy. Kudos to him.

“On behalf of the governor of Oyo State, I am saying Hon. Agboworin is doing wonderfully well and I pray that God will not limit him to this present position.”
