The Chairman of Oyo State Local Government Staff Pension Board, Hon. Akeem Ademola Ige has congratulated Prof. Musibaudeen Babatunde on his appointment as the Secretary to the Oyo State Government (SSG) by Governor Oluseyi Abiodun Makinde.

He equally congratulated others appointed alongside Prof. Babatunde Musibau including Hon. Abiodun Adedoja who was a former Chairman of Ibadan South East Local Government who has now been appointed as the Special Adviser to the Governor on Energy Security.
Hon. Akeem Ige in a congratulatory statement he personally signed and made available to journalists noted that Prof. Babatunde’s appointment is well-deserved considering his ingenuity and expertise he has brought to the government since the first term tenure of Governor Seyi Makinde.

Hon. Ige stressed that Prof. Babatunde had displayed high level dexterity since his first appointed as a Special Adviser, then as Hon. Commissioner for Budget and Economic Planning which makes his recent appointment well deserved and applauded.


“According to the statement, Prof. Babatunde Musibaudeen is a complete gentleman, humble, accessible, competent and highly committed to the government of our Principal, His Excellency, Engr. Seyi Makinde. He has never been found wanting in any role assigned to him either in his academic career or in the government. I’m very proud of him.” The statement added.
Hon. Ige who commended Engr Seyi Makinde for recognizing Prof. Babatunde’s qualities and expertise which led to his elevation to the position of SSG, expressed his confidence in the ability of those appointed to excel in their new assignments.
Ige, who is the former Minority Leader in the Oyo State House of Assembly and the Baameto Aare Ona Kakanfo of yorubaland wished Prof. Babatunde and others success in their new endeavour. He prayed God to imbue them with necessary wisdom, knowledge and sound health to excel in the task ahead of them.
