Saki-East/Atisbo
Hon. Saminu Riliwan Gbadamosi JP, popularly known as Wale Canada, has extended heartfelt greetings and best wishes to Muslims across Atisbo/Saki-East, Oke-Ogun, Oyo State and beyond as they commemorate Maulud Nabiyy, the birth of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (SAW).
In a goodwill message marking the occasion, Hon. Wale Canada described Maulud Nabiyy as a significant moment for Muslims to reflect on the exemplary life, teachings and enduring legacy of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (SAW), whose message continues to inspire humanity towards peace, justice, compassion, honesty, humility and peaceful coexistence.
اللهم صل وسلم وبارك على سيدنا محمد

Allahumma salli wa sallim wa barik ‘ala Sayyidina Muhammad.
Wale Canada urged Muslims to look beyond the celebration and embrace the timeless virtues exemplified by the Holy Prophet (SAW), particularly love for humanity, patience in adversity, fairness in dealing with others, humility in leadership, forgiveness and compassion for the less privileged.
According to him, the challenges confronting society today make it increasingly important for leaders and citizens alike to draw inspiration from these enduring values and work collectively towards building communities where peace, justice, mutual respect and human dignity are upheld.
He stressed that leadership is an Amanah (trust) and must therefore be exercised with sincerity, accountability, fairness and a genuine commitment to the welfare of the people.
إِنَّ اللَّهَ يَأْمُرُ بِالْعَدْلِ وَالإِحْسَانِ
“Indeed, Allah commands justice and excellence.”
The lawmaker emphasized that meaningful leadership should not be measured merely by political positions, titles or privileges, but by the positive impact made in the lives of the people.
He reaffirmed his commitment to people-oriented representation, community development, educational advancement, healthcare support, youth empowerment and initiatives capable of creating opportunities and improving the quality of life of his constituents.
Wale Canada also called on political leaders, traditional rulers, religious leaders, youths and citizens to continue promoting dialogue, tolerance, unity and peaceful coexistence, irrespective of political affiliation, ethnic background or religious differences.
He noted that politics should remain an avenue for service, development and unity rather than division, urging political actors to place the collective interest above personal ambitions and always remember that public office is a responsibility entrusted to them by the people.
“Politics should be about how we can improve the lives of our people, strengthen our communities and create a better future for the generations coming after us. Our differences should never be greater than our common interest,” he said.
While appreciating his constituents, supporters, religious leaders, community leaders and well-wishers for their continued prayers, confidence and goodwill, Wale Canada encouraged Muslims to use the occasion of Maulud Nabiyy to pray for peace, stability, prosperity and good governance in Oyo State and Nigeria.
He further urged the people to continue supporting initiatives that promote peaceful coexistence, human development and community progress, stressing that a prosperous society can only be achieved through collective responsibility, mutual respect, compassion and sincere leadership.
السلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته
As-salāmu ʿalaykum wa raḥmatullāhi wa barakātuh.
The lawmaker prayed that Allah Almighty would accept the acts of worship and supplications of the faithful, bless their families and communities, strengthen their faith, protect the nation and grant Nigeria lasting peace and prosperity.
“As we commemorate the birth of the noble Prophet Muhammad (SAW), may we be guided by his exemplary character and commitment to justice, compassion, peace and service to humanity. May Allah bless our communities, strengthen our unity, protect our nation and grant Nigeria peace, progress and prosperity.”
Maulud Nabiyy Mubarak!
May the peace and blessings of Allah be upon the Holy Prophet Muhammad (SAW), his family and his noble companions. Ameen.
