In a heartfelt message of congratulations, Hon. Babalola Abiodun, Ph.D., Oyo State House of Assembly member, has praised Governor Seyi Makinde and his wife, First Lady Tamunominini Makinde, for their recent installation as Aare Omoluabi and Yeye Aare Omoluabi of Akure Kingdom.

Hon. Babalola described the conferment ceremony, held yesterday in Akure, Ondo State, as a “powerful affirmation of the Makindes’ visionary leadership and outstanding integrity.” He said the titles not only reflect their contributions to Oyo State but also deepen their bond with the greater Yoruba nation.
> “This prestigious honour from the Deji of Akure is a testament to Governor Makinde’s selfless service and the First Lady’s dedication to uplifting communities,” the legislator remarked. He further expressed confidence that the Makindes would use the titles to foster unity and cultural pride across Yorubaland.

The installation — which saw Governor Makinde named Aare Omoluabi of Akure Land and his wife honored as Yeye Aare Omoluabi — was attended by dignitaries from across Nigeria . The ceremony celebrated their shared values of humility, service, and moral excellence deeply rooted in Yoruba tradition.

Hon. Babalola added that these titles extend beyond ceremonial recognition; they stand as an “invitation to further collaboration with Ondo State,” enriching inter-state relations. He called on leaders across the region to emulate the Makindes’ example, prioritizing servant leadership and cultural solidarity.

In closing, Hon. Babalola applauded the couple’s ongoing efforts in governance, education, and healthcare, saying: “May this new honour amplify their positive impact, inspiring many more to uphold the Omoluabi spirit of good character.”
