The member representing Afijio State Constituency in the Oyo State House of Assembly, Hon. Deji Oparinde, has congratulated Governor ‘Seyi Makinde and security agencies on the successful rescue and safe return of the teachers and pupils abducted from Ahoro Esinilẹ Community in Oriire Local Government Area after 55 days in captivity.
In a statement issued on Friday, the lawmaker described the development as a moment of immense relief and joy for the affected families, the people of Oriire Local Government Area, and Oyo State at large.
Hon. Oparinde commended Governor Makinde for his steadfast commitment to the protection of lives and property, noting that the governor remained resolute and worked closely with security agencies throughout the period of the victims’ captivity to ensure their safe return.
He also lauded the efforts of the Nigerian security agencies, local vigilante groups, and other stakeholders whose professionalism, resilience, and collaboration contributed to the successful release of the abducted teachers and pupils.

According to the lawmaker, the rescue operation reflects the effectiveness of coordinated security efforts and the state government’s unwavering determination to confront insecurity and protect residents across Oyo State.
While rejoicing with the rescued victims and their families, Oparinde prayed for their speedy physical, emotional, and psychological recovery from the traumatic experience, expressing hope that they would soon return to their normal lives.
