The Oyo State Commissioner of Youth and Sports has expressed his heartfelt condolences to the family, friends, and colleagues of the late Mr. Kehinde Ojelowo, the Secretary of the Oyo State Football Association and Director of Organisation at the Oyo State Sports Council.
Mr. Ojelowo’s sudden demise has sent shockwaves throughout the football fraternity in Oyo State, leaving a void that may be difficult to fill. Mr. Ojelowo slumped and was rushed to the University College Hospital (UCH), Ibadan, where he was pronounced dead.
In a statement, the Commissioner described the late Ojelowo as a dedicated, intelligent, and diligent administrator who made significant contributions to sports development in Oyo State. “His no marks a great loss not only to the Council but also to the entire sports community in Oyo State and Nigeria at large,” the Commissioner said.
The Commissioner further stated, “Our thoughts and prayers are with his family, colleagues, and loved ones during this difficult time. May his legacy live on, and may his soul rest in peace.”
The sports community in Oyo State and beyond is mourning the loss of a stalwart who was passionate about football development. Mr. Ojelowo’s dedication and commitment to his work will be fondly remembered, and his contributions to Oyo State sports will never be forgotten.
