A chieftain of the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) and the party’s Deputy Governorship Candidate, Engr. Muftau Open Salawu, has expressed profound appreciation to Oyo State Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde, over the recent appointment of notable sons and daughters of Ogbomoso zone into various positions.
In an appreciation message issued on Friday, Salawu, on behalf of the people of Ogbomoso and his political associates, commended Governor Makinde, whom he described as the presidential candidate of the APM, for appointing notable Ogbomoso indigenes, including Engr. Abu Salami, Hon. Ezekiel Oyedepo, Barr. Bankole, Mrs. Lydia Bankole and Oluwaseun Laurel, among others.
He described the appointments as timely and significant, noting that the Governor had demonstrated confidence in the competence and capacity of the appointees by placing what he called “round pegs in round holes.”
“These appointments are not only timely but defining, as they have placed round pegs in round holes. The appointees are capable, experienced and committed party faithful who will undoubtedly add immense value to the administration and to our party,” he stated.
The APM chieftain expressed confidence that the newly appointed officials would justify the confidence reposed in them through dedication, competence and effective service delivery.

“We are confident that they will justify the confidence reposed in them through dedicated service and excellent delivery. We sincerely appreciate His Excellency for this thoughtful gesture,” he added.
Salawu further described the appointments as a demonstration of inclusive leadership and recognition of the contributions of Ogbomoso sons and daughters to the development of Oyo State and the political structure of the party.
