The Executive Chairman of Ona Ara Local Government, Dr. Temitope Kolapo “GLORIOUS,” has continued to demonstrate unwavering commitment to educational advancement through strategic interventions aimed at empowering young people across the local government.
As part of his administration’s sustained investment in education, a total of 1,100 free JAMB forms have been distributed to indigent students and residents within the last two years. This initiative underscores the Chairman’s vision of expanding access to higher education and reducing financial barriers for aspiring students.
In 2025, 500 candidates benefited from the scheme, while an additional 600 students received support in 2026, reflecting a deliberate scale-up of the program to reach more beneficiaries.
Remarkably, records indicate that a significant number of the beneficiaries performed exceptionally well in the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), with many scoring above 250. This outstanding performance highlights the effectiveness of the initiative and the academic potential of students within Ona Ara Local Government when given the right support.
Dr. Temitope Kolapo GLORIOUS reaffirmed his administration’s dedication to human capital development, emphasizing that education remains a cornerstone of the NEW ERA Agenda, particularly under “Education Per Excellence.”
He further assured residents that the local government will continue to introduce impactful programs that promote academic excellence, youth empowerment, and sustainable community development.
