Omituntun Glorious Ramadan Lecture: Sheikh Agbotomokekere, Fadeyi, OTOPE among Others attend as Imam Adogba Delivers Lecture

The 2025 Omituntun Glorious Ramadan Lecture was a resounding success, bringing together prominent religious, political, and community leaders in a spirit of unity and reflection. Hosted by the Executive Chairman of Ona Ara Local Government, Dr. Temitope Kolapo GLORIOUS, the event featured a thought-provoking lecture by the Chief Imam of Adogba Central Mosque, Ustaz Abdulkadir Muhammad L-Awal, on the theme: “Nation Building: Government and Citizens’ Responsibility.”

The distinguished gathering was graced by the presence of His Eminence, Sheikh AbdulGaniy Abubakry Agbotomokekere, Chief Imam of Ibadanland, Grand Imam of Oyo State, and Grand Patron of the League of Imams and Alfas of Yorubaland, Edo, and Delta States, alongside the Chief Imam of Ona Ara, Sheikh Al-Imam Tirimisiyu Hamoda Rufai. Also in attendance were the Deputy Speaker of the Oyo State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Muhammad Abiodun Fadeyi, Director General of the Oyo State Liaison Office (Lagos & Abuja), Dr. Ezekiel Temitope Oladimeji OTOPE, and the Asiwaju of Ona Ara, Chief Jubril Dotun Sanusi.

The event further highlighted the strength of religious harmony in Ona Ara, as the Nigeria Inter-Religious Council (NIREC) joined Islamic organizations, including FOMWAN, NASFAT, and the Ilaji Muslim Community, in supporting the program. Alhaji Ibrahim Ibromiyu and Alhaja Sarat Aduke Konibaje co-chaired the event.

Among other dignitaries in attendance were: Hon. Musibau Sanusi and Hon. Taiwo Akeem Oke, past chairmen of Ona Ara Local Government, Hon. Mufutau Olatunde Ogunremi, Senior Special Assistant to Governor Seyi Makinde on SDGs, Hon. Mosobalaje Bakare, Ona Ara PDP Chairman, Chief Waheed Ajao Adurodekun.

In a statement signed by the Chairman’s Press Secretary, Mr. Rahmon Alawode, the Ona Ara Local Government reiterated its commitment to fostering unity and development through impactful engagements such as the Ramadan lecture.

Dr. Temitope Kolapo GLORIOUS expressed gratitude to all attendees for their unwavering support and emphasized the importance of collective responsibility in building a stronger and more prosperous society.
