The Executive Chairman of Oluyole Local Government, Asiwaju Akeem Olatunji, has expressed congratulations to Ambassador Taofeeq Arapaja and Hon. Ibrahim Akintayo on their respective political milestones and leadership accomplishments.
In a congratulatory message on Monday in commemoration of the duo’s birthday anniversary celebrations, Olatunji described Ambassador Arapaja as “a seasoned politician whose humility, loyalty, and wealth of experience continue to inspire confidence in the PDP family.”
He noted that Arapaja’s emergence as the consensus candidate for the position of National Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party ahead of the November 16 National Convention is “a testament to his long-standing service and commitment to the unity and growth of the party.”
He said, “Ambassador Arapaja has always represented the true spirit of inclusiveness and pragmatic leadership. From his time as Deputy Governor of Oyo State to his tenure as Nigeria’s Ambassador to the Kingdom of Jordan and now as the PDP National Deputy Chairman (South), he has shown uncommon dedication and integrity.
“Ambassador has remained a ladder through which younger politicians have risen to top positions in the political journey and it gives me great pleasure to have him as my father,” Olatunji stated.
The Oluyole LG boss equally showered encomiums on Hon. Ibrahim Akintayo, the Executive Chairman of Ibadan North East Local Government.
He described Akintayo as “a diligent and people-focused administrator whose consistency and performance have become a model in grassroots governance.”
“Hon. Akintayo’s leadership has brought remarkable transformation to his council area. His re-election and continuous delivery of good governance are proof of his connection with the people and his pragmatic sense of duty,” Olatunji added.
He expressed optimism that with tested leaders like Arapaja and Akintayo, the PDP remains well positioned to continue to dominate and strengthen its structures across Oyo State and beyond.
Olatunji however prayed for more wisdom, strength, and divine guidance for both leaders as they continue to serve the party and the people.
