The Executive Chairman of Ibadan North Local Government, Hon. Oluwaseun Olufade, has been honoured with the prestigious award of “Most Outstanding council Chairman in Oyo South Senatorial District” by the Youth Assembly of Nigeria (YAN), Oyo State Chapter.
The recognition came during the 2025 Youth Awards Ceremony, held on October 1st, 2025, at the Western Hall, Agodi, Ibadan, where distinguished personalities and youth advocates gathered to celebrate excellence and leadership.
According to the organisers, Hon. Oluwaseun Olufade emerged as the winner after securing the highest number of votes in his category a testament to his overwhelming popularity and positive impact among the youth constituency across Oyo South Senatorial District.
In their remarks, the organisers lauded Hon. Olufade for his remarkable contributions to youth development, visionary leadership, and transformative community impact.
They further noted that his influence, accessibility, and unwavering dedication to service have earned him the admiration and endorsement of young people within and beyond his local government.
Receiving the award on behalf of the chairman, the Head of Media to the Ibadan North Local Government Chairman, Aderibigbe Yisahu, expressed profound gratitude to the Youth Assembly of Nigeria for finding Hon. Olufade worthy of the honour.
He conveyed the chairman’s heartfelt appreciation to the youth constituency for their confidence and massive votes, assuring them that Hon. Olufade will not relent in his commitment to purposeful leadership and youth inclusion.
“The reward for hard work is more work,” Yisahu quoted the chairman as saying.
“Hon. Olufade remains resolute in his drive to continue delivering meaningful impacts and fostering sustainable development across Ibadan North Local Government.”
He also seized the opportunity to appreciate the Governor of Oyo State, His Excellency, Engineer Seyi Makinde, for being a positive influence and a true mentor, whose leadership has continued to inspire excellence at all levels of governance.
In his closing remarks, Mr. Yisahu reaffirmed that the Ibadan North Local Government Chairman will continue to make the people proud, deepen grassroots governance, and champion initiatives that uplift the lives of residents, especially the youth.
