The Olubadan-Designate of Ibadanland, Oba Rashidi Ladoja, has described the life of Ibadan-born corporate titan and founder of Kola-Daisi University, Bashorun Kola Daisi, as exemplary and worthy of emulation.
Defying the presence of a large crowd at his Bodija residence yesterday, Oba Ladoja visited Bashorun Daisi at his Iyaganku home to personally congratulate him on the occasion of his 93rd birthday.
Oba Ladoja, who referred to the nonagenarian billionaire businessman as his mentor, said:
“Baba, you may not know how much you mean to us. You are an inspiration. We value your immense contributions to our socio-economic development. We celebrate your academic exploits, from Ibadan Boys High School in 1951 to the London School of Economics. The lives you have touched through your business investments and philanthropy are countless. It is our prayer that God will grant you long life to celebrate many more years in good health.”
