The Olubadan-designate of Ibadanland, Oba Rashidi Ladoja, has issued a stern warning to Mogajis, Baales, and traditional rulers against involvement in land grabbing and other related criminal activities, vowing that anyone found guilty will face the full weight of the law.

Speaking through the Ekerin Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Hamidu Ajibade, during a strategic meeting held on Monday at the Olubadan Palace, Oke-Aremo, the Olubadan-designate emphasized the need for integrity and accountability in the discharge of their traditional duties.
He urged traditional leaders to resist any temptation to engage in actions capable of tarnishing the image of the Olubadan throne, the Advisory Council, or the ancient city of Ibadan.

“Any traditional ruler that aids and abets land grabbing or any form of criminality will be seriously dealt with according to the law,” he warned.

Oba Ladoja reminded the gathering that every traditional representative is a reflection of the Olubadan stool and must ensure proper conduct, especially by monitoring the activities of Mogajis and Baales under their jurisdictions to uphold the dignity of Ibadanland.

He also called on sons and daughters of the land, as well as residents, to continue praying for peace, unity, progress, and sustainable development in Ibadan.
Earlier, the Alakinyele of Akinyele, Oba James Odeniran, led a delegation to the palace to express their condolences over the demise of the late Olubadan, Oba Olakulehin, and to pledge their loyalty to the incoming monarch, Oba Ladoja.

Also in attendance were prominent members of the Olubadan-in-Council, including the Otun Balogun of Ibadanland, Oba Kolawole Adegbola; the Ashipa Balogun, Oba Dauda Azeez; along with other royal highnesses, Mogajis, and Baales.
