The Jericho Businessmen Club (JBC) on Friday hosted its 3rd Annual Socio-Economic Summit 2025, drawing a vibrant mix of business leaders, young professionals, innovators, policymakers and community actors from across Ibadan. From the early moments as guests arrived and exchanged greetings, it was clear that this year’s edition carried an atmosphere of purpose and renewed commitment to collective growth.

JBC President, Oloye Taofeeq Adegboyega, opened the summit with a stirring address emphasising responsibility, collaboration and shared effort. He underscored that sustainable progress can only be achieved when individuals and institutions commit to building together, setting the tone for a day of impactful conversations.

The summit featured thought-provoking panel sessions with speakers such as Deremi Atanda, Prof. Bolanle Oladejo, and Dr. Kolawole Raji, who delivered practical insights on digital literacy, innovation ecosystems, policy implementation and strategic preparedness for Oyo State’s future. Their contributions moved beyond theory, offering actionable pathways for attendees and stakeholders.

Participants also engaged with a variety of corporate exhibitors including FirstBank, GoCode, Barrel.ng and others, discovering solutions tailored to the evolving needs of modern enterprises and emerging professionals.

A major highlight of the event was the presence of His Excellency, the Olubadan of Ibadanland, whose arrival added prestige and cultural significance to the gathering. He was formally welcomed into the JBC community, symbolising a strengthened partnership and a deeper shared vision for Ibadan’s socio-economic advancement.

The summit further celebrated youth excellence with the presentation of the Cohort ’25 Scholars, first-class students from various universities who received JBC’s inaugural scholarship awards. Their confident presence on stage inspired optimism and reaffirmed the club’s commitment to nurturing the next generation.

The event concluded with awards and recognitions presented by the JBC President, honouring individuals and partners who have played key roles in supporting the club’s mission and community impact.

With its blend of dialogue, innovation, recognition and shared purpose, the 2025 summit reaffirmed that meaningful progress is within reach when stakeholders unite with intention and vision.
