The concerned offa indigene of Lagelu Local Government Area and supporters of truth and justice have on Thursday condemned and categorically debunk the baseless, malicious, and orchestrated slander propagated by Mr. Ademola Adegoke (Baale Papa), Musiliu Kehinde Ogunajo (Baale Paku), Isiaka Akinronbe, and their foot soldiers, namely Tunde Sodiq, Yusuf Rabiu, and the two Asafa children, against the reputable and law-abiding gentleman, Mr. Akeem Olofa, a prince and respected businessman.

The claims published on blog news outlets by the Osun State Security Network Agency (Amotekun Corps) on Thursday- alleging that Mr. Akeem Olofa led an ambush resulting in the death of an Amotekun operative, are nothing but a vicious fabrication designed to tarnish his impeccable reputation and cover up the heinous crimes committed by the aforementioned individuals. These accusations are not only unfounded but are part of a long-standing vendetta by Baale Papa and his cohorts to eliminate Mr. Olofa and rope him into their criminal activities.
The Root of the Slander: A Land Dispute

The genesis of this defamation lies in a farmland dispute in the Ibadan villages along Odo-Oba, which has already been addressed by the Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIG). The AIG issued a clear directive to all parties, including Baale Papa, Baale Paku, Baale Ogunajo, and their associates, to desist from causing trouble. Additionally, the revered Kabiyesi Olofa and the authorities of Lagelu Local Government have reiterated the AIG’s instructions, urging all farmers and parties to maintain peace. However, Baale Papa and his allies have persistently disregarded these orders, resorting to violence and criminality to assert their dominance.

The True Perpetrators of Violence:

Contrary to the narrative peddled by Baale Papa and his group, it is they who have unleashed terror on the communities of Lagelu Local Government. Reliable evidence points to their involvement in a series of atrocities, including:
1. Destruction of Property: Baale Papa, through his personal assistant, Mr. Demola Adegoke, and in collaboration with the commander of Oke-Oba hunters, mobilized notorious militants to burn a grader machine belonging to Lagelu Local Government in Oloola village. They also set ablaze several Ibadan villages in the area, causing widespread devastation.
2. Murder and Sexual Violence: The same group, led by Baale Papa’s foot soldiers, including Mr. Olowo, is responsible for the brutal murder of Mr. Segun Babatunde in Oloola village. Additionally, two young women, Mariam and Blessing, were raped by these criminals, who continue to roam freely despite promises to bring them to justice.
These acts of arson, murder, and sexual violence are the handiwork of Baale Papa, Baale Paku, Baale Ogunajo, and their associates, who now seek to deflect blame onto Mr. Akeem Olofa to shield themselves from accountability.
A Campaign of Defamation
The slander against Mr. Olofa is a calculated attempt to cover up the atrocities committed by Baale Papa and his cohorts. By falsely accusing Akeem Olofa of leading an ambush, they aim to divert attention from their criminal enterprise and mislead the public and authorities. Akeem Olofa, a prince of impeccable character and a responsible businessman, has no history of violence or criminality. He has consistently advocated for peace and he’s compliance with the AIG’s directives on the land dispute, earning him the admiration of the Lagelu and Offa communities.
Threats to Peace and Security:
Disturbing intelligence has reached the indigenes of Lagelu and Offa that Baale Papa and his foot soldiers have hired criminals to invade the palace of Olofa. These plans underscore the desperation of Baale Papa and his allies to perpetuate chaos and evade justice. We call on the Nigeria Police Force, Amotekun Corps, and other security agencies to investigate these threats and hold the true perpetrators accountable.
Our Stand
We unequivocally condemn the slanderous accusations against Akeem Olofa and demand a thorough investigation into the incident in Iwo. We urge the Osun State Amotekun Corps to verify the claims made by Baale Papa and his group and to ensure that justice is served. The perpetrators of the ambush, as well as the earlier crimes in Oloola village, must be brought to book, and Olofa’s name must be cleared of this malicious defamation. We implore the good citizens of Nigeria and authorities to look beyond the false narrative propagated by Baale Papa and his cohorts and focus on uncovering the truth.
A Call to Action
We call on the Nigeria Police Force, and the Lagelu Local Government authorities to:
1. Conduct an impartial investigation into the atrocities and the crimes committed in Oloola village.
2. Arrest and prosecute Baale Papa, Baale Paku, Baale Ogunajo, and their foot soldiers for their roles in the violence and defamation.
3. Protect the palace of Olofa from the planned attacks by Baale Papa’s hired criminals.
4. Clear the name of Akeem Olofa and ensure that justice prevails.
The people of Offa stand united in defense of truth, justice, and the reputation of Akeem Olofa. We will not be intimidated by the antics of Baale Papa and his cohorts, and we will continue to expose their criminal activities until peace and justice are restored in our communities.
