The Executive Chairman of Ido Local Government, Hon. Sheriff Adeojo, on Friday paid a courtesy visit to the Olubadan-elect, High Chief Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja, to felicitate with him on his confirmation as the 44th Olubadan of Ibadanland by Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde.

Adeojo described Oba Ladoja’s confirmation as a testament to his patience, resilience, and commitment to the preservation of Ibadan’s rich traditional heritage as well as the continuous development of its people.
He noted that the ascension of the former governor to the revered throne was a divine arrangement, emphasizing that his journey through the 36-rung hierarchy of the Ibadan chieftaincy system—one of the most structured in Yorubaland—speaks to his perseverance and dedication.

“I congratulate our royal father, Oba Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja, on his confirmation as the 44th Olubadan of Ibadanland. His emergence is not only a blessing to Ibadanland but also a testimony of God’s will fulfilled through patience and service,” Adeojo said.

The council chairman prayed for divine guidance, wisdom, and strength for the new monarch, wishing him a peaceful, successful, and fulfilling reign.
