Hon. Saminu Riliwan Gbadamosi JP, popularly known as Wale Canada, Member Representing Atisbo/Saki-East State Constituency in the Oyo State House of Assembly, has felicitated with Nigerians on the occasion of the nation’s 66th Independence Anniversary, describing Nigeria as a country of hope, resilience and immense possibilities.
In a goodwill message commemorating the anniversary, Wale Canada extended his warmest greetings and sincere goodwill to Nigerians at home and in the Diaspora, while calling on citizens, particularly the people of Atisbo/Saki-East State Constituency, to remain hopeful and committed to the collective aspiration of building a stronger and more prosperous Nigeria.
According to him, at 66, Nigeria remains a nation richly endowed with human and natural resources, cultural diversity, entrepreneurial energy and a resilient population capable of overcoming challenges and transforming difficulties into opportunities.
He noted that although the nation’s journey has not been without challenges, Nigerians have consistently demonstrated courage, creativity, determination and an enduring belief in the promise of a better tomorrow.

Wale Canada stressed that the Independence Anniversary should serve not only as a moment of celebration, but also as an opportunity for renewed reflection on the responsibilities of both leaders and citizens in advancing the nation.
He maintained that the Nigeria of collective aspiration is one founded on peace, justice, unity, opportunity, inclusiveness and sustainable development, where every citizen has the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to national progress.
The Oyo lawmaker further called for greater unity, peaceful coexistence and a renewed commitment to the common good, urging Nigerians to continue supporting initiatives that improve lives and create opportunities for present and future generations.
He particularly encouraged young Nigerians to remain hopeful, resilient and confident in their ability to contribute to the development of the country.
Wale Canada reaffirmed his optimism about Nigeria’s future, stressing that responsible leadership, constructive citizenship, unity of purpose and sustained commitment to development would continue to strengthen the nation and move it closer to the aspirations of its founding fathers.
He also paid tribute to Nigerians, past and present, whose sacrifices, contributions and commitment have continued to shape the country’s journey since independence.
“Nigeria remains a nation of hope. Nigeria remains a nation of possibilities. Nigeria remains our home.”
He prayed for continued peace, unity and prosperity across the country, asking the Almighty to bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria, strengthen the bonds of unity among its people, protect communities, guide leaders and grant citizens the opportunity to prosper in peace and dignity.
