In a move signaling collaborative progress and strategic partnership, Oluwatimileyin Alex, the newly elected Chairman of the Oyo State chapter of the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), on Thursday paid a courtesy/ Thank-you visit to the Chairman of the Oyo State Agency for Youth Development, Adebowale Adebayo Falana.

The delegation ably led by the Special Adviser to the Governor on Interfaith matters, Reverend Femi Ibikunle, and former Chairman of NYCN Oyo State chapter, Bukola Olatunji, aimed to express gratitude for the support received during his election and to foster stronger ties between the youth council and state youth development initiatives.
During the meeting, Alex highlighted the importance of government backing in empowering the youth, emphasizing that sustained support would be critical to realizing the aspirations of NYCN members across Oyo State.

He appealed for increased collaboration with government agencies to enhance youth development programmes, promote entrepreneurship, and address challenges faced by young people in the region.


Alex equally used the medium to solicit official orientation programmes for its new members stressing that it would further develop all its excos in strategic areas to uplift the association better.
However, the Oyo Agency for Youth Development Chairman, Hon. Adebowale Adebayo Falana welcomed the visit and pledged to work closely with the Oyo State chapter of NYCN leadership to create an enabling environment for youth empowerment.
Speaking of the peaceful election that brought in the newly elected Chairman, Adebowale applauded the youth-friendly governance, His Excellency Engr ‘Seyi Makinde in Oyo State.

“The father of the youth in Oyo State’s singular interest is to have the right set of people, who will bring our integrity of the organization, as he considers the youth sector a critical part of the State,” Adebowale said.
Both parties underscored the need for joint efforts in harnessing the potential of young Pacesetter State youth and advancing policies that prioritize youth welfare and engagement.
This visit marks a promising step toward strengthened partnerships between the NYCN and Oyo State Agency for Youth Development, with the shared goal of fostering inclusive growth and opportunity for the state’s youth.
