NAPPS Lagelu Honours Ona Ara LG Chairman, Dr. Temitope GLORIOUS, at 2025 Annual LANAPPS Convention …Dedicates Award to Governor Seyi Makinde

The National Association of Proprietors of Private Schools (NAPPS), Lagelu Local Government Chapter, has conferred an Award of Honour on the Executive Chairman of Ona Ara Local Government, Dr. Temitope Kolapo GLORIOUS, in recognition of his remarkable contributions to the education sector. The prestigious honour was presented during the 2025 Annual LANAPPS Convention.

In a statement released by the Chairman’s Media Aide, Mr. Rahmon Alawode, the award was described as a testament to Dr. GLORIOUS’s impactful leadership and developmental strides during his tenure as Chairman of NAPPS, Ona Ara Local Government Chapter. His visionary initiatives, including the construction of a state-of-the-art secretariat for the association, have set a benchmark for excellence within NAPPS nationwide.

Speaking at the award presentation, Elder Olatunde Ojeyinka, Chairman of NAPPS Lagelu Local Government Chapter, applauded Dr. GLORIOUS’s unwavering dedication to the growth of private education.

“This award is a well-deserved recognition of his outstanding efforts. As Chairman of NAPPS Ona Ara, he delivered a landmark secretariat project, the first of its kind across Nigeria’s 774 local government areas. Today, we celebrate a leader who has consistently prioritized the advancement of education,” he stated.

Expressing his gratitude, Dr. Temitope Kolapo GLORIOUS thanked NAPPS Lagelu for the honour and dedicated the award to the Executive Governor of Oyo State, His Excellency, Engr. Seyi Makinde, acknowledging the Governor’s unwavering support for educational development.

“Governor Seyi Makinde’s visionary leadership has created an enabling environment for education to thrive in Oyo State. His commitment to infrastructure, policy reforms, and educational empowerment has significantly shaped both public and private institutions. I proudly dedicate this award to him as a tribute to his transformational impact on the education sector,” Dr. GLORIOUS stated.

Leveraging his over two decades of experience as a school proprietor, Dr. GLORIOUS also advised education stakeholders on the importance of sustainable structures for long-term institutional growth.

“A school must be built on a foundation of continuous improvement to ensure its longevity. Proprietors should put structures in place to ensure their institutions can thrive beyond their personal leadership,” he advised.

Dr. GLORIOUS attended the event alongside his entourage, including his Chief of Staff, Hon. Isiaka Arinola; Director of Administration and General Services, Mr. Bosun Olanrewaju; and Personal Assistant, Hon. Ajibola Daniel.

This honour further cements Dr. GLORIOUS’s reputation as a leader deeply committed to education, governance, and community development.
