The National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) has formally inducted Hon. Ogunsola Olusina John as its National Patron during a distinguished Dinner Night attended by student leaders, political stakeholders, and notable personalities from across the country.

The event, which also drew members of the Oluyole and Oyo State Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) executives, was organised to celebrate leadership, service, and mentorship, while strengthening collaboration between the Nigerian student community and experienced leaders.
Speaking at the occasion, the host and Convener of the Allow Alao Dynasty, Comrade Alao John Oluwadamilola, who also serves as the NANS Presidential Spokesperson, described the Dinner Night as a platform for reflection, appreciation, and relationship-building beyond formal engagements.

He explained that the induction of Hon. Ogunsola Olusina John as National Patron was a deliberate decision informed by his consistent goodwill, encouragement, and unwavering commitment to education, student welfare, and youth development.

According to him, “The National Association of Nigerian Students values leaders who rise above personal interests to serve humanity.

True leadership is measured by impact, not position.” He further stressed the importance of unity and collective responsibility in achieving sustainable national development.
The highlight of the evening was the formal induction ceremony, during which Hon. Ogunsola Olusina John was officially presented and welcomed as NANS National Patron.

The association described the honour as a reflection of trust, appreciation, and confidence in his leadership and mentorship capacity, acknowledging his longstanding support for Nigerian students.
In his response, Hon. Ogunsola Olusina John expressed profound gratitude to NANS for the recognition and reaffirmed his commitment to supporting the association’s vision, as well as advancing the welfare, education, and overall development of Nigerian students nationwide.
The event also served as an avenue to appreciate stakeholders and individuals who continue to contribute, in various capacities, to education, youth empowerment, and national growth. Attendees commended the initiative, describing it as a meaningful blend of recognition, dialogue, and fellowship.
The Dinner Night concluded on a high note, with participants expressing optimism that the induction would further strengthen collaboration between NANS and its partners, while reinforcing the association’s commitment to leadership, service, and student advocacy across Nigeria.
