The recent historic recruitment drive initiated by Governor Seyi Makinde has injected a significant boost into Oyo State’s economy, creating a ripple effect of growth and development across various sectors.

The recruitment drive, which saw thousands of individuals employed across different cadres, has not only provided a source of livelihood for families but has also stimulated economic activity in the state.

According to economic experts, Dr Kunle Andrew Alao, the injection of salaries into the economy will have a multiplier effect, leading to increased consumer spending, business growth, and ultimately, economic expansion.

“The impact of this recruitment drive on Oyo State’s economy cannot be overstated,” said Dr. Yinka Adeniyi, a lecturer at the tertiary institution. “With thousands of new employees receiving salaries, we can expect to see an increase in economic activity, as these individuals spend their earnings on goods and services.” One for the newly employed worker who couldn’t hide her joy, Esther Folorunso noted that ” by fostering a thriving job market, His Excellency has not only improved the livelihoods of thousands but also positioned the state for sustained economic growth and development.”

Under the visionary leadership of His Excellency, Engineer Seyi Makinde, the state has witnessed a transformative shift from challenges to opportunities, raising the bar for public service and leadership excellence. The transparent, fair, and inclusive recruitment process has ensured equal access to opportunities for deserving individuals, fostering a culture of meritocracy.

The Makinde administration’s commitment to good governance is leaving an indelible mark, inspiring future generations to believe in the power of leadership to drive positive change. His remarkable contributions to employment creation and economic empowerment are a testament to his dedication, and we eagerly anticipate continued progress in the years to come.

Governor Makinde’s administration has successfully employed workers into various state agencies, including the Primary Health Care Board, OYRTMA, Hospitals Management Board, Amotekun Security, SUBEB, TESCOM, and Civil Service Commission.

The recruitment drive has also been hailed as a major victory for the Makinde administration, which has made job creation a central plank of its economic development strategy. “We are committed to creating an enabling environment for economic growth and development in Oyo State,” said Governor Makinde, while speaking at a recent event.- “This recruitment drive serves as a shining example of our administration’s unwavering dedication to fostering job creation and economic empowerment.”

As Oyo State continues to feel the positive impact of the recruitment drive, residents and stakeholders are eagerly anticipating the next phase of the administration’s economic development strategy.

With the state’s economy poised for further growth, one thing is clear: the future of Oyo State looks brighter than ever.
