The distinguished member of the Oyo State House of Assembly representing Atisbo and Saki-East State Constituency, Hon. Saminu Riliwan Gbadamosi JP, popularly known as Wale Canada, has extended his warmest greetings to Christians in his constituency, the Old Ifedapo Federal Constituency, Oke-Ogun, Oyo State, and across the world as they embark on the sacred journey of Lent.

In a statement released through his media aide, Mr. Jimoh O. Oladoja, Hon. Wale Canada emphasized the significance of Lent as a period of reflection, sacrifice, and spiritual renewal. He urged Christians to use this season to foster love, unity, and peace in their communities while upholding the values of self-discipline and service to humanity.

As the Chairman of the House Committee on Health, Hon. Wale Canada reiterated his unwavering commitment to the development of Oyo State, particularly in the health sector, ensuring improved healthcare services for all. He called on residents to support the government’s efforts in advancing the state’s progress, emphasizing that collective responsibility and cooperation are essential for sustainable development.

He further encouraged all citizens, regardless of religious affiliation, to embrace the spirit of tolerance, mutual respect, and compassion, which are fundamental to building a harmonious and prosperous society.

Hon. Wale Canada concluded by praying for divine strength and guidance for all Christians observing Lent, expressing hope that the season would bring renewed faith, blessings, and greater unity among the people of Oyo State and Nigeria at large.
