Lagelu, Iyana-Offa|||

The Executive Chairman of Lagelu Local Government, Hon. Mudashiru Kamorudeen, has warmly welcomed council staff back to work after the New Year break, expressing profound gratitude for their unwavering support and dedication that drove the administration’s remarkable successes in 2025.
The welcome address took place during a special prayer session organized by the Lagelu Chapter of the Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE) to mark the resumption of duties in the new year.

In an emotional address, Hon. Kamorudeen highlighted the significant milestones achieved in 2025, including major infrastructure projects such as road constructions, market developments, borehole sinkings, and electrification initiatives that have enhanced connectivity, economic opportunities, and quality of life for residents.

“I’ve said it before, and I will say again, that when we started on this journey we did so with an abiding faith in the Lagelu people, and our ability to turn things around for good,” the Chairman said.
Thanking the staffs directly, he emphasised that his accomplishments in the past one and a half years were made possible only through their collective effort. “Everything I’ve done in my one and a half years in office was because of the people who worked for me and believed in me,” he said. “I was just a ‘frontman’ for your hard work.”
The Chairman described the staff’s tireless contributions as the true backbone of the administration’s progress, from transforming rural communities through strategic projects to prioritizing security and prosperity.

Looking ahead, Hon. Kamorudeen charged the workforce to redouble their efforts in 2026, expressing optimism about the future. “We look forward to continuing this journey with all of you, and I can’t wait to see what you do next,” he concluded, to warm applause from the gathering.
The prayer session, filled with reflections and supplications for peace, progress, and unity, set an inspiring tone for the year, reinforcing the strong partnership between the council leadership and its employees.
