The Executive Chairman of Lagelu local government, Hon. Mudashiru Kamorudeen has bagged a prestigious Humanitarian Service Award from the Rotary Club. The recognition adds the council boss to a distinguished list of changemakers whose efforts have left an indelible mark on society.

The presentation was made by Rotarian Adewale Adesina, the invested 7th President of the Rotary Club of Ibadan-Elebu metropolis, who lauded Hon. Kamorudeen for his unwavering commitment to uplifting the lives of residents in Lagelu and beyond. The award recognizes the chairman’s extraordinary dedication to humanitarian service, marked by transformative initiatives that have brought hope and real progress to the local government.

Hon. Mudashiru Kamorudeen, a respected leader known for his people-centric approach, has spearheaded numerous projects aimed at improving education, healthcare, and infrastructure in Lagelu. From facilitating access to clean water in underserved communities to supporting educational programs for indigent students, his administration has prioritized the well-being of the most vulnerable. His hands-on leadership during crises, coupled with his passion for empowering youth and women, has earned him widespread admiration.

Rotarian Adewale Adesina described Hon. Kamorudeen as “a beacon of hope and a true servant of the people.” He highlighted the chairman’s collaborative efforts with organizations like the Rotary Club to drive sustainable development. “This award is a testament to Hon. Kamorudeen’s relentless pursuit of a better society. His work embodies the Rotary motto, ‘Service Above Self,’” Adesina remarked.

In his acceptance speech, Hon. Kamorudeen expressed gratitude to the Rotary Club for the recognition, emphasizing that his achievements were a collective effort. “This award is not just for me but for every individual in Lagelu who has supported our vision for a thriving community,” he said. He reaffirmed his commitment to continue serving with integrity and compassion, promising more initiatives to address pressing needs in the local government.
