The Executive Chairman of Lagelu Local Government, Hon. Mudashiru Kamorudeen, has extended warm felicitations to Muslim faithful in the council area and across Nigeria as they celebrate Eid al-Fitr, marking the successful completion of the holy month of Ramadan.

In a statement issued on Wednesday, amid the festive mood, the chairman described the occasion as a time for spiritual reflection, gratitude, forgiveness, and strengthened bonds of nationhood.

Hon. Kamorudeen, often celebrated as one of the state’s youngest and most dynamic local government leaders, urged residents to carry forward the virtues of patience, charity, self-discipline, and compassion exemplified during Ramadan into daily life, while praying for sustained peace, unity, and prosperity in Lagelu, Oyo State, and the entire country.

To complement the celebrations and support vulnerable households amid rising cost of living, the chairman distributed essential food packs. including rice, beans, cooking oil, and other staples, alongside cash gifts to community members, and less-privileged residents across various wards.
