On Saturday 9th of March 2024, Hon. Ibrahim Akintayo and his running mate Hon. Mary Esomior flagged off their Re-election campaign at the ancient Bashorun Market Junction. The event was conducted under the leadership of Alhaji Isiaka Fatokun (Abuye) – PDP Party Chairman and Hon. Abeeb Ogunremi – Director General Akintayo/Esomior Campaign Committee.

The D.G appreciate the party for their unwavering support given to Hon. Ibrahim Akintayo and Hon. Mary Esomior and urged them to start and propagate the good works of their administration to electorate and he presented the Chairmanship candidate and his running mate to the party through the party chairman in the local government.

In his remark Alhaji Isiaka Fatokun (Abuye) hails the Executive Governor of Oyo state, His Excellency Engr Seyi Makinde FNSE for running the masses government with the wisdom given to him by God almighty and piloting the affairs of the party without crisis and also lauds Chief Bayo Lawal (PDP leader in Ibadan North East) for his fatherly role in the party also appreciate the good people of Ibadan North East Local Government for their undiluted support to The People’s Democratic Party and their support for this present administration, he implored them to vote for all the P.D.P candidate in the forth coming Local Government election, he also presented the party flag to the chairmanship candidate and his running mate which symbolized them as the party flag bearer and implored the good people of Ibadan North East Local Government to come out enmass and vote for Hon. Ibrahim Akintayo and all the Party Councillorship Candidate from ward 1 – 12.

The event that turned to mega rally moved it’s train from Bashorun Market to Gate in which the Motor parts seller endorsed Akintayo and ready to vote enmass for all the PDP candidate, also moved to Oje Market in which Chief Ayinde Delesolu (Babaloja of Oje Market) led the campaign troops to all the nook and cranny of the market. Hon. Ibrahim Akintayo use the medium to visit the Fruit seller market and spoke to general public about the peace that has been brought back between Babaloja of Oje Market and Babaloja Eleso and they both pledge to live in peace and harmony, Hon. Gbenga Ayinde Adewusi ‘Arole’ urged the Traders in Oje Market to vote for Hon. Akintayo and all the PDP Councillorship Candidate in the Local Government. there after the campaign train moved to Labiran to Beyeirunka, Ita Baale, Oranyan, Kosodo, Ojaigbo, Aremo, Ode aje, Padre.
Hon. Ibrahim Akintayo paid an homage to Chief Barrister Muyiwa Makinde (Bada Olubadan) in his political office at Babasale to receive fatherly blessing and latter end the rally in Party office at Oke adu.

Hon. Biodun Babalola (Member Oyo state house of assembly representing Ibadan North East Constituency 1) urged the good people of Ibadan North East Local Government to continue support the administration of His Excellency Engr Seyi Makinde FNSE by voting Akintayo and all the P.D.P councillorship candidate.
