The Leader of the House, Irepo Local Government Legislative Council, Hon. Saliu Sarafadeen Ayinde (Sasay), has officially obtained the nomination form of the Allied Peoples’ Movement (APM) to contest for the Oyo State House of Assembly seat representing Irepo/Olorunsogo State Constituency ahead of the 2027 general election.


Speaking after obtaining the form at the party secretariat, Hon. Sasay described his decision to seek the mandate of the people as a continuation of his commitment to quality representation, people-oriented leadership, and sustainable grassroots development across Irepo and Olorunsogo Local Governments.
He noted that the journey ahead is not merely about political ambition but a renewed mission to consolidate on the achievements already recorded through responsive leadership and active engagement with the people.

According to the lawmaker, his focus remains on promoting policies and initiatives that will continue to improve the lives of residents through youth empowerment, educational support, infrastructural development, community engagement, healthcare support, and economic opportunities for the people.


He emphasized that governance becomes meaningful when leaders remain connected to the grassroots and consistently prioritize the needs and aspirations of the people they serve.


Hon. Saliu Sarafadeen Ayinde (Sasay) called on party faithful, supporters, community leaders, youths, women groups, and stakeholders across Irepo/Olorunsogo State Constituency to remain united and committed to the collective vision of building a stronger and more prosperous constituency under the platform of the Allied Peoples’ Movement.

He maintained that the APM remains committed to progressive ideals and people-driven governance capable of strengthening democratic participation and restoring confidence in public leadership.
The Irepo LG Leader of the House equally appreciated the Executive Chairman of Irepo Local Government, Hon. Tunde Taoheed Olayiwola, for his leadership style and developmental efforts across the local government, while also expressing gratitude to party leaders, loyalists, and residents for their unwavering support and trust over the years.
Reaffirming his dedication to grassroots politics, Hon. Sasay pledged to continue maintaining open communication with residents and ensuring that their voices remain adequately represented at the Oyo State House of Assembly if elected.
