Dr. Olayinka Gbolahan Ibikunle, an aspirant for the Oyo State House of Assembly representing Ibadan NorthWest State Constituency in the 2027 elections, has resigned from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)
Ibikunle announced his decision on Thursday following consultations with political allies, supporters, and stakeholders across the constituency.
According to him, it’s more important to be a part of a structure that would improve Oyo state
“Politics should be about service, inclusion, and delivering real value to the people,” he said. “After careful consideration, I have decided to take a new political path that reflects the aspirations of my supporters and the people of Ibadan NorthWest.”
He expressed appreciation to members and leaders of the PDP for their support over the years and in the near future
