Chief Jubril Dotun Sanusi, Okanlomo Odua and Gbonka Olubadan, has expressed profound sadness over the death of Dr. Margret Yorhomeh, who passed away on Sunday, August 9, 2026, at the age of 64.

In a condolence message issued on behalf of the Sanusi Dynasty and the entire Ilaji Family, Chief Sanusi described the deceased as a woman of dignity, warmth, wisdom, compassion and strength whose life positively impacted many people around her.

He said her passing had created a painful void in the hearts of her children, family members and everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.

“Dr. Margret was not merely a mother; she was a woman whose presence brought love, warmth and meaning to the lives of those around her. Her passing has left an emptiness that words cannot adequately express,” he said.

Chief Sanusi particularly commiserated with Martins, Richard and Favour, urging them to draw strength from the beautiful memories and enduring legacy their mother left behind.

“To Martins, you have lost a precious mother whose love and sacrifices can never be replaced. To Richard, may the memories of your mother remain a source of strength and courage. To Favour, may God comfort you as you mourn the loss of a beloved mother-in-law and a woman who became an important part of your family and life,” he stated.

He noted that Dr. Yorhomeh was deeply respected and cherished by the Sanusi Dynasty and the Ilaji Family, stressing that her relationship with the family was built on genuine affection, mutual respect and strong family bonds.

According to him, her death was therefore not only a loss to her immediate family but also a deeply felt loss to the wider family and all those whose lives she touched.

Born in June 1962, Dr. Yorhomeh lived for 64 years, leaving behind a legacy of motherhood, kindness, courage and compassion.

Chief Sanusi said although her family and loved ones would have wished for more years with her, they remained grateful to Almighty God for the life she lived, the people she raised and the love she shared.

“Death may take a beloved mother from our sight, but it can never take away the love she planted in the hearts of her children and those who knew her.

“Today, we do not only mourn her death; we celebrate her life, her motherhood, her courage, her kindness and the beautiful legacy she leaves behind.”

He prayed that Almighty God would forgive her shortcomings, grant her eternal rest and receive her soul into His everlasting embrace.

He also prayed for divine strength and comfort for Martins, Richard, Favour, the entire Yorhomeh family, the Sanusi Dynasty and the Ilaji Family as they mourn the irreparable loss.

“Mama, your journey on earth has ended, but your love will continue to live in the hearts of those you left behind. You will be remembered, you will be honoured, and you will never be forgotten.
