As Nigeria marks yet another milestone in her history, the Executive Chairman of Ibadan North Local Government, Hon. Oluwaseun Olufade, has joined millions of citizens across the country and the world to celebrate the nation’s Independence Anniversary.

Hon. Olufade, in a goodwill message to the people of Ibadan North, Oyo State, and Nigerians at large, described October 1st as a sacred reminder of the sacrifices of our founding fathers, the strength of our unity, and the resilience of our people in the face of challenges.

“This day is not just about the commemoration of freedom from colonial rule, it is also a day to renew our commitment to the ideals of peace, progress, justice, and nation-building.

Nigeria remains a land blessed with immense potential, and it is our collective duty to nurture that promise for generations yet unborn,” he said.

The Council Boss urged Nigerians to embrace patriotism and unity, stressing that the nation’s strength lies in its diversity.

“As we raise our flags today, let us not only celebrate our freedom but also recommit ourselves to the responsibility of nationhood.

Let us be resilient, let us be hopeful, and let us work together to make Nigeria the pride of Africa and a beacon of hope to the world,” he added.

He prayed for lasting peace, stability, and prosperity in Nigeria, and urged everyone to keep faith alive in the country’s greatness.

“Happy Independence Day to the good people of Ibadan North, Oyo State, and the entire nation.
