The Ibadan South West Local Government Secretariat was transformed into a vibrant celebration venue today as the wife of the Executive Chairman, Chief Mrs. Mojoyinola Akande, hosted an unforgettable end-of-year party for children from various communities within the Local Government area.
The event, held at the Local Government Mini Mapo Hall, was a colorful celebration filled with excitement, laughter, and joy. The children were treated to a wide range of activities, including games, gift-giving, entertainment, and merriment. The atmosphere was electric, with the children’s faces beaming with delight as they participated in the various activities.
In her welcome remarks, Chief Mrs. Akande expressed heartfelt gratitude to God for the gift of obedient and God-fearing children.
She emphasized the importance of providing opportunities for children to grow and develop, and noted that the event was a small token of appreciation for their cooperation and good behavior throughout the year.
“We are thrilled to host this end-of-year party for our children,” Chief Mrs. Akande said. “As parents and guardians, it is our responsibility to provide a nurturing environment that fosters their physical, emotional, and psychological growth.
Today’s event is a celebration of their achievements and a reminder of our commitment to their well-being.”
The event featured a range of exciting activities, including a dance competition, singing performances, and gift-giving. The children were also treated to a sumptuous meal, complete with their favorite foods and drinks.
The Chairperson of Ibadan West Local Council Development Area, Alhaja Sidikat Adeola Adigun, and the Woman Leader of Ibadan South West LG, Mrs. Ayobami Olanrewaju, also praised the event as a wonderful way to bring children together and celebrate the holiday season.
“This event is a testament to the importance of community and the need to come together to celebrate our children,” Alhaja Adigun said. “We are grateful to Chief Mrs. Akande for hosting this event and providing our children with a memorable experience.”
The event was well-attended by women leaders from different wards, programme officers, parents, and children, all of whom appreciated the efforts of Mrs. Akande in hosting the party.
