IBSWLG Chairman, Akande Lauds Governor Seyi Makinde’s Visionary Leadership on 58th Birthday

The Executive Chairman, Ibadan South West Local Government, Oluyole Estate, Ibadan Ambassador Kehinde Adeyemi Akande, has sent a heartfelt and congratulatory message to the Executive Governor of Oyo state, His Excellency Engr Oluseyi Abiodun Makinde FNSE on the occasion of his 58th birthday celebration which coincides with the Christmas celebration

Akande, while sending birthday special greetings to His Excellency, described him as the epitome of success, thanks to the unprecedented achievements and developments that have transformed Oyo State into a global hub. He noted that the Governor is a visionary leader with leadership traits worthy of emulation. He therefore prayed that Almighty God will continue to give His excellency wisdom from above to continue to paddle the caddle of Oyo state to a greater height.

Speaking further, the council boss also rejoiced with Christian brothers and sisters on the occasion of the 2025 Christmas celebration, urging residents and indigenes of the council area, Oyo state and Nigeria as a whole to be joyful and rejoice as we celebrate the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ, without minding the unpalatable happenings around the world.

He therefore charged everyone to be security conscious during this festive season and emphasised the importance of remembering the true essence of Christmas, which is rooted in love, kindness, and generosity. He encouraged residents to reflect on these values as a guide as they celebrate.

The Council helmsman also reiterated his commitment to improving the welfare of the citizens of the LG through the provision of social amenities as well as staff members. He therefore wished all and sundry a Merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year.

Finally, Head of local Government Administration, Alhaja Amudat Olatoyosi Salau, also rejoiced and felicitated with everyone and thanked Almighty Allah for keeping us up to this moment, even though many lives were lost this year, but Allah is merciful unto us to keep us alive. She prayed for God’s continuous protection and advised everyone to keep on praying to God for protection, provision and mercy.
