Honourable Kehinde Akande, Chairman of Ibadan South West Local Government, recently inspected the Omitituntun Acquisition Skill Centre at Akuro.

He assessed the construction progress and expressed satisfaction with the quality of work done so far.

The centre aims to empower youth and promote economic growth through skills acquisition and entrepreneurship development.

The project aligns with Akande’s commitment to improving education and youth development in Ibadan South West.

His administration has rolled out various initiatives, including a soap-making training program that has benefited over 600 students.

Building on this momentum, the Omitituntun Skill Centre will offer comprehensive training in diverse fields such as tailoring, Kampala making, soap making, hairdressing, digital skills, and computer technology.

These programs are designed to equip young people with practical skills, enhancing their employability and entrepreneurial prospects. By focusing on in-demand skills, Akande’s administration aims to empower youth, stimulate local economic growth, and reduce unemployment.
