The Allied Peoples Movement, APM, in Ibadan South West Local Government has urged party members and the general public to disregard any other list or claim of candidates, insisting that there is no parallel structure of the party in the council area.
Executive Adviser to Governor Seyi Makinde, on Intraparty , Hon. Abiodun Isola Baruwa, made the clarification on Sunday. He said the clarification became necessary following reports of conflicting lists circulating within the local government ahead of the forthcoming council election.
According to Baruwa, the only authentic list of APM candidates for Ibadan South West is the one that was affirmed by party leaders on Wednesday last week at the coucil Secretariat and duly witnessed by an official of the Oyo State Independent Electoral Commission, OYSIEC, from both the local government and the state.
“Disregard any other list or claim. There is no parallel APM in Ibadan South West Local Government. The list of chairman, vice chairman and councillors affirmed by leaders of our party and witnessed by OYSIEC member from local government and state remain the final,” he stated.

He explained that the party followed due process in selecting its candidates and that the exercise was transparent, peaceful and in line with the guidelines of both the party and OYSIEC.
Baruwa called on members of the APM in Ibadan South West to remain united and focus on mobilizing support for the party’s candidates across the 12 wards. He added that internal unity is critical to ensuring victory for the party at the polls.
