Ibarapakan Receives Human Development and Nation Building Award from NOUN

The Faculty of Education of the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN) has awarded the member representing Ibarapa Central and Ibarapa North Federal Constituency, Hon. (Dr.) Anthony Adebayo Adepoju, with an Award of Excellence in Human Development and Nation Building during its 2nd International Conference of the Faculty of Education.

The institution expressed that the lawmaker was given the award on the grounds of Legislative Excellence, Community Engagement, Collaboration and Diplomacy as well as Advocacy for Social Justice. According to them, Hon. Adepoju has authored and championed several pivotal bills that have positively impacted the nation. It said that the lawmaker’s dedication to crafting effective legislation has significantly improved the lives of the citizens of Nigeria.

The faculty noted that the Ibarapa-born lawmaker has also actively engaged with constituents, holding town hall meetings, listening to their concerns and advocating for their rights. It said that accessibility and responsiveness set an exemplary standard for public service, hence the need to celebrate the lawmaker.

The faculty declared that the Award of Excellence conferred on Hon. Adepoju would not only honour his remarkable achievements but also elevate the reputation of their conference within the political community.

Representing the lawmaker at the event, which was held on Thursday at the National Open University in Jabi, Abuja, Barrister Lekan Awolusi, Senior Legislative Aide to Hon. Adepoju, said that the prestige associated with the reasons behind his principal’s nomination was overwhelming. He noted that the reasons for the award were humbling, as they reflected the principles and cardinal points of purposeful leadership.

He expressed that the award also lent credence to the outstanding performance of his boss and the indefatigable work of the lawmaker’s team, as well as the trust placed in Hon. Adepoju by the committed and hard-working people of Ibarapa Central and Ibarapa North Federal Constituency of Oyo State.

Barrister Awolusi conveyed Hon. Adepoju’s goodwill message to the institution for its efforts in promoting excellence in governance and recognising outstanding contributions within the political community.
