*Ibarapakan Celebrates Agboworin’s Exemplary Leadership and Service as He Marks His 56th Glorious Year on Earth*

Member representing Ibarapa Central and Ibarapa North Federal Constituency, Hon. Dr. Anthony Adebayo Adepoju, has celebrated his senior counterpart in the National Assembly, Rt. Hon. Adigun Abass Adekunle (Agboworin), on the occasion of his birthday.

In a statement signed by his spokesperson, Hassan Adesodi Olaoniye and made available to journalists in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, on Sunday, June 28, 2026, Hon. Adepoju described Hon. Adigun Abass as a committed public servant whose contributions in the 9th and 10th National Assemblies have brought meaningful development to constituents in Ibadan North-East/Ibadan South-East Federal Constituency and Nigeria as a whole.

The federal lawmaker commended Hon. Abass Adigun Agboworin for his impeccable commitment, selfless service and deep love for the people of Oyo State. He acknowledged that during Hon. Agboworin’s tenure as Deputy Chairman of the House Committee on Air Force in the 9th National Assembly, he played a significant role in facilitating the establishment of an Air Force Base in Ajia, Ibadan a strategic initiative which, upon full operationalization, is expected to contribute immensely to strengthening security and reducing insecurity across the South-West region of Nigeria.

Hon. Adepoju also appreciated his counterpart for his efforts in facilitating the soon-to-be-completed zonal office of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) in Mokola, Ibadan, describing the project as another indicator of his commitment and dedication to the welfare and development of Oyo State.

He further praised Hon. Agboworin for his outstanding leadership and decisive actions as Chairman of the House Committee on Narcotic Drugs. According to Ibarapakan, Hon. Agboworin’s passion, patriotism and relentless efforts have contributed significantly to disrupting drug trafficking networks, curbing the production and distribution of illicit substances and strengthening the fight against narcotics across Nigeria.

Ibarapakan noted that such impactful representation and dedication to national service deserve commendation and recognition, adding that the people of Oyo State are proud of the positive contributions of Hon. Agboworin.

The Deputy Chairman of the House Committee on Federal Character extolled the Ibadan-born politician and retired US Naval Officer for his role in the success of Omituntun 1.0 and 2.0, as well as his loyalty to Engr. Seyi Makinde’s political movement.

The Ibarapa-born politician cum technocrat also seized the occasion to pray for the actualisation of the two-term federal lawmaker’s political ambition in 2027 under Allied Peoples Movement (APM) to consolidate the good work he started in Ibadan North-East/Ibadan South-East Federal Constituency.

He prayed for his longevity, sound health and continued political accomplishments as a leader and veteran lawmaker.
