The Chairman, Ibadan North East Local Government, Hon Ibrahim Akintayo aka (O mu Yes) has flagged off the official distribution of year 2025 free insecticide treated net in his Local Government.

The programme which is an integral part of the 2025 “Roll Back Malaria “ Campaign in Oyo State, begins on Friday 1st till 7th August 2025 to fight malaria through distribution of free insecticide treated nets to the grassroot dwellers.

Hon Akintayo who was ably represented by the Vice Chairman / Political Head, Ibadan East LCDA, Hon Mrs Mary Esomior, encouraged the people to follow the health guidelines, as dished-out by Medical Personnel so as to meet the target of reaching every household with the free insecticide treated nets.

In her message, the Head of Local Government Administration Ibadan North East Local Government, Mrs Omolara Aremu urged pregnant women and nursing mothers to take advantage of this opportunity to tame malaria, which she said is a threat to the immunity of infants.

The Campaign Coordinator of the programme in Ibadan North East Local Government, Mrs Ruth Ifejika and the Supervising Medical Officer, Dr Kunle Adeyemo reiterated the commitment of their team to ensure a malaria-free Oyo State through the Roll Back Malaria campaign.

Other Political Dignitaries at the event include; the Secretary of Ibadan North East Local Government, Hon Femi Afolabi, the Supervisory Councilor for Health, Honourable Adebisi Aderibigbec,as well as Heads of various Departments in Ibadan North East Local Government.
